Regardless of the size of your business, making the decision to go green can present you with a bewildering array of questions, options and technologies.

If you’re starting on your green journey, we don’t claim to know all the answers to your questions ourselves, but by taking the Leeds Climate Charter, we can put you in touch with someone who will. You can access advice and tools to help you on your way to improving your environmental performance, reducing your carbon emissions and making savings along the way.

By signing this Charter,

Acknowledges:

That climate change will profoundly influence the environmental, social and economic conditions in Leeds and will continue to be a critical factor throughout the 21st Century;
That action needs to take place at all levels (global, national, regional and local) and that all organisations should take responsibility for reducing CO₂ emissions.

Commits to take on the climate change challenge by:

* 1. Understanding our impacts: use recognised tools to establish our CO₂ baseline and set up effective monitoring arrangements.

2. Establishing an action plan and target: use our CO₂ baseline to identify emissions reduction opportunities, develop a prioritised action plan and publish a target.(See also Leeds Chamber of Commerce, BiTC and Envirowise)
