The Health Improvement Board provides strategic leadership, direction and vision for the City in determining, shaping, implementing and monitoring key priorities and strategies to deliver health and wellbeing outcomes for all the citizens of Leeds.
The strategic outcome that the board hs a primary focus on is:
- Reduced health inequalities through the promotion of healthy life choices and improved access to services.
The Board is reponsible for our city priorities to:
- Help protect people from the harmful effects of tobacco.
- Make sure that people who are the poorest improve their health the fastest.
