Fastnet launch in Leeds
It’s Hot, It’s Furious and Leeds led the Way with Fastnet
Fastnet, the new and exciting game released by English Netball made its debut in the region on September 5th 2010.
The new Armley leisure centre was chosen as an ideal venue for the launch and the game is sure to do for netball what 20:20 has done for cricket.
Rolling substitutions, power play and double points for scoring outside the “D” has made this game faster, more tactical and for spectators, a really fast and vibrant game to entertain.
Following positive feedback from the launch new Fastnet coaching opportunities have been arranged, starting week commencing 2nd November.
Parents are also very welcome at the 'Back to Netball' sessions too.
The sessions will take place at Armley and Rothwell leisure centres and will be run on a course basis, pre enrolment is essential. England Netball Skills Awards can be earned through skill improvement and small assessments.
The sessions on offer are:
Armley – Tuesdays
8-11 years 4pm-5pm,
12-16 years 5pm-6pm
16+ (Back to Netball) 6pm-8pm
Rothwell - Thursday
8-11 years 4pm-5pm.
12-16 years 5pm-6pm
Sundays 16+ (Back to Netball) 7pm-9pm (already running, please come along and see the activity taking place / come along and take part)
